Our experience with Dan at Smith & Sons was as close to perfect as any construction job could get. We engaged Dan to build a major extension to our home to fit our growing family, and he and his team built us a dream home that exceeded all our wildest hopes and expectations.

The brief was to create a modern and sophisticated second story addition to an existing low set home. From the very beginning Dan worked not only to build it but understood and helped us develop that vision from concept to reality.

Managing costs and supplies remained a principal focus and were all very carefully monitored at every stage of the project, and Dan is an excellent communicator who continuously kept us in the loop about both throughout the job. His honesty and impressive knowledge of his industry meant we were always confident that he was making decisions in our best interests.

During a challenging period for the industry Dan skillfully and successfully navigated a range of different challenges that popped up along the way. His team were not only eminently capable tradesmen, but (like Dan) genuinely friendly, trustworthy, and thoughtful humans who were a pleasure to have in our home each day.

Now that the job is finished my wife and I remarked that it feels like we have lost touch with good friends, which is a real testament to the way Dan’s team would go above and beyond with their service delivery.
