Transforming a Home into a Modern Family Haven

Our clients, a young family, needed a more functional home to suit their active lifestyle. Their existing split-face block house, while compact and traditional, was in need of some modern updates to better suit their lifestyle and meet their family's needs. 

 

The renovation’s primary goal was to create a sanctuary for the parents while improving the overall layout and functionality of the home. Key changes included enclosing the existing carport to create a master bedroom and ensuite, replacing the support structure, installing a new hot water system, and rendering the extension.  

 

During planning, we recommended upgrading the hot water system to prevent lag of hot water to the new ensuite. Whilst the project is not yet completed in full, due to the client electing to do some items themselves, the results can only get better from here. The home’s new design features natural and neutral tones, creating a warm and modern atmosphere.  This project was particularly special as it took place in our own neighbourhood. We frequently see the family while walking our dogs or cycling past, and we love hearing how much they enjoy their transformed home.
