A Family-Focused Renovation Success

Our team recently completed an exciting transformation project for our clients, a professional couple with high school-aged children. The family's home had a largely unutilised lower level that held immense potential. Our mission was to convert this neglected space into a vibrant, multi-functional area tailored to the family's needs and lifestyle.

The project scope encompassed a complete remodel of the existing lower level, creating a spacious rumpus room for the teenagers, a modern combined bathroom and laundry, and two dedicated study areas. From the outset, we collaborated closely with our clients to optimise the layout and ensure the best possible use of space.

The centrepiece of the renovation is the expansive rumpus room, designed as a haven for the teens. We installed durable, stylish flooring and applied a fresh coat of paint in neutral tones, providing a versatile backdrop for the family's personal style. The room now serves as a perfect spot for gaming, movie nights, or simply hanging out.

Adjacent to the rumpus area, we created a combined bathroom and laundry space that seamlessly blends functionality with contemporary design. The bathroom features modern Reece fixtures, including a sleek vanity and a generously sized shower. We selected high-quality tiles that not only enhance the aesthetic appeal but also offer practicality for a busy family space. The laundry area, integrated within the same room, boasts ample storage and work surfaces, streamlining household chores.

A key aspect of the renovation was the creation of dedicated study areas. These spaces provide quiet, focused environments for the children to tackle their schoolwork, complete with ample lighting. The study's design promotes concentration while maintaining a sense of openness to the main living area.

Throughout the renovation, we paid meticulous attention to the electrical requirements of the new layout. This included the crucial task of relocating the switchboard, which we executed in collaboration with certified electricians to ensure compliance with all safety regulations.

The transformation extended beyond mere aesthetics. We installed new Gyproc walls and ceilings, enhancing insulation and providing a polished finish. Our choice of materials and fixtures was guided by a commitment to durability and ease of maintenance, crucial factors for a space designed for family use.
