Extensive Renovation – Malvern

A testament to modernisation and family-centric design. Owned by the Okeffe family, with two teenage children, the home underwent a complete transformation from its outdated state, characterised by minimal natural light and untouched features since its construction. The clients' vision was clear: to expand and contemporise the space to accommodate their growing family's needs. The extensive renovation involved a major demolition, including the entire roof and internal structures, to make way for spacious living areas, additional bedrooms, and updated bathrooms. Special design considerations were crucial, navigating through planning permits and integrating modern elements like polished concrete render and seamless façade cladding. The choice of colours and materials aimed to create a cohesive atmosphere, blending external elements with internal finishes. Noteworthy challenges included heating and cooling solutions, ingeniously resolved with a concealed Daikin air-conditioning system. Throughout the project, memorable moments and challenges were met with determination and innovation. The culmination of these efforts resulted in a home where every detail reflects meticulous planning and a commitment to contemporary living.
