Internal Renovation
Nestled in the charming tropical paradise of Palm Cove, Cairns, stood a holiday apartment yearning for revival. The time-weathered space, once full of life, was tired, dated, and desperately needed an update. The apartment owners, business partners from Brisbane, approached our team seeking help transforming this forgotten haven into a delightful getaway retreat. This resulted in giving the entire internal space a brand-new life, restoring everything from flooring to walls, doors, bathroom, and kitchen.
The original kitchen, a space once boxed in and disjointed, evolved into a striking feature of the apartment. The team's expertise in reshaping and refreshing allowed them to make intuitive changes, removing barriers and altering entryways to create a more inviting and flowing living space. This provided more kitchen cupboard and bench space, enhancing functionality without sacrificing style. A gentle colour palette featuring fresh whites and timber flowing throughout the apartment, offering a light and renewed space. The kitchen, dressed in white cabinetry with feature oak overheads and white Smartstone benchtops, embraced elegance effortlessly. Accessories, fittings, and fixtures were chosen, from splashback tiles from Beaumont Tiles to sanitary fixtures from Reece and new kitchen appliances from Harvey Norman.
The bathroom, once burdened with an outdated pink bath and matching basin, received a dramatic facelift. The removal of the old bath allowed room for a luxurious walk-in shower, and modern fittings and fixtures replaced the outdated pink fixtures, resulting in a contemporary and inviting environment. The bathroom's Flourish Motif floor tile selection from Beaumont Tiles are a standout feature, infusing character, and additional charm into the space.
However, the road to renovation was not without its challenges. The fact that the clients were based in Brisbane added a layer of complexity. The renovation team rose to the occasion, providing regular photo updates, including close-up images of details, offering them a feeling of virtual presence on site, which gave the clients reassurance and allowed a calm , seamless renovation process.
A unit once weary and worn now stands as a testament to creativity, craftsmanship, and the transformative power of design. This apartment has been brought back to life as a sanctuary that radiates warmth, comfort, and a timeless appeal.
