Elegant Transformation: A Light-Filled Apartment
Nestled in the heart of Palm Cove, a retired couple sought to refresh their top-floor apartment to better reflect their vibrant lifestyle. Having previously entrusted us with a bathroom renovation, they returned to get a fresh and modern ensuite to match.
Before the renovation, the ensuite felt dark and outdated, with aging finishes and a rusted window that obstructed the beautiful natural light. Our mission was to create a fresh, cohesive look that complemented the previously renovated bathroom.
The project involved a complete strip-out, including the replacement of waterproofing, floor-to-ceiling tiling, and all fittings and fixtures. A new window installation played a crucial role in inviting more natural light into the space. Given the apartment's location on the top floor, logistics could have been challenging, but fortunately, the presence of a lift streamlined the process—although fitting the oversized vanity mirror was a close call!
Timing was our biggest challenge. With a packed schedule, we weren’t initially in a position to take on the project. However, as a valued repeat client and with another build nearby, we made it work, seamlessly integrating the renovation into our workload.
The final design boasts a monochromatic palette with light tones and striking black accents, mirroring the bathroom’s modern elegance. Materials like Beaumont Tiles’ Bora Carrara White for the floors and Plus Statuario White for the walls provided a sophisticated yet timeless finish.
For us, the highlight was the trust and loyalty of our returning clients. Seeing their excitement as they stepped into their refreshed apartment made every challenge worth it.
